Akola Education Society, which conducts Akola Law College, was established on the auspicious day of Tilak Jayanti on 23rd July 1927. The Society is a pioneering educational trust formed and established by members from the teaching community with the objective of propagating education in the region. The Society started its educational activities with the setting up of New English High School in the year 1927 with student strength of 20. During the span of 89 years, the Society has spread its activities and at present it has twelve educational institutions under its patronage, providing education from the grass root level i.e. play group to the post-graduate level. These educational institutions are providing educational facilities to nearly 5,000 students at Akola, Murtizapur and Kharap of western Vidarbha region. The educational institutions run by the Society have earned a high reputation in the region by turning out scholarly students of high caliber and merit, who are rendering valuable services to the nation in various fields of activity and contributing towards country’s growth.
