About ALC

The Society celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in the year 2002. To commemorate the occasion, Society resolved to enter the field of higher education by setting up a Five Year Law Degree Course College at Akola. At that time, there was no such college in Akola city. As a result, Akola Law College was established in the year 2004-05. The Govt. of Maharashtra granted permission to the Society to start a Five Year Law Degree Course College on permanent no-grant basis vide its letter No. NGC 2004/ (1/04)/MS-4, dated 15th July 2004. The college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, which granted its first affiliation vide its letter no. AU/8/C-2274/2004, dated 01st September 2004. The Bar Council of India, New Delhi granted approval of affiliation to the college vide its letter No. BCI: D: 776/2005 (LE:Mtg) (53-Maharashtra-T), dated 25th April 2005. The college started its regular functioning by admitting students in LL.B. Five Year Integrated Course from the academic year 2005-2006. The college introduced LL.M. course in five groups i.e. (a) Criminal Law, (b) Business Law, (c) Constitutional and Administrative Law, (d) Corporate Law and (e) Human Rights from the academic year 2009 – 2010 and LL. B. Three Year Degree Course from the academic year 2017-2018.

           The College is known for its own ethos, culture, academic discipline and merit. The College imparts legal education, which will be more meaningful and effective in the present scenario. The College stands apart from the other colleges by organizing regularly conferences, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, field trips, symposia and high level interactivity with judiciary.Determination, Discipline, Hard work and Success are the four pillars of ALC.
